Terms of Service.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Astry website at astry.agency and the Astry product. By using the site or the product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you use Astry on behalf of an organization, you accept these Terms for that organization and confirm you are authorized to do so.

2. The product is in beta

Astry is in active beta. It is provided as-is and may change. Features can be added, altered or removed, and availability is not guaranteed during this period. Where your organization has signed a separate deployment or enterprise agreement, that agreement governs the production terms of your use; these Terms cover the website and beta access.

3. Accounts & access

You are responsible for the credentials used to access Astry and for activity under your account. Keep them confidential. Access to the product is governed by your deployment agreement and by the permissions inherited from your connected source systems. Tell us at security@astry.agency if you suspect any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

Use Astry lawfully. Do not attempt to bypass, probe or defeat the access controls, including the per-request projection that decides which files a query may read. Do not use the product to break the law, infringe a third party's rights, or interfere with its security or operation. We may suspend access that puts the service or other users at risk.

5. Customer data

In a BYOC deployment, Astry runs inside your own cloud and your content stays in your environment. Where Astry processes data on your behalf, it does so under our Data Processing Addendum, which forms part of these Terms for customers who have accepted it. Permissions inherit from your source systems, so Astry keeps no parallel store of who can see what.

6. Intellectual property

Astry, including the software, the Trust Layer and all related materials, remains the property of Astry and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited right to use the product, not to own it. In a BYOC deployment the software runs entirely inside your own cloud, on infrastructure you control, and Astry holds no credentials to that environment; the Astry control plane sees only operational metadata, never your content. You keep all rights to your own content, and nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of it to us.

7. Confidentiality

Each side may receive information the other treats as confidential, including non-public details of the product, your deployment and your data. Use such information only to operate under these Terms, and protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiver or that must be disclosed by law.

8. Warranties & disclaimers

Astry is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Because the product is in beta, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Answers are generated from your sources and should be verified against the cited material before you rely on them for a decision.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Astry is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or the product. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Term & termination

These Terms apply while you use the site or the product. You may stop at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if required to protect the service. On termination, the rights granted to you end; the sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, confidentiality and limitation of liability, continue to apply. Where you have a deployment agreement, its termination terms govern your production data.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Paris have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product moves out of beta or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the date on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If a change materially affects a signed deployment agreement, that agreement's change process takes precedence.
